DynaStrip AUTOMATION is a specialised
solution that allows for hot-folder workflows.
It is an essential application
in a newspaper or magazine environment, where document files arrive in any order
and at different times-and for better third-party workflow integration.
Instead of waiting for all document
files, creating a document list to manually merge the pages with sheet templates,
and then send the job to the output device, DynaStrip AUTOMATION automates the
process because it only requires a set of templates and one hot folder from
where the indexing, page placement, and output actions are initiated instantly.
Two leads can be used to create the "stream":
- Document file names
- Text file
The "file name" method recognizes the page numbers
in the file names. This is especially useful for single pages generated by pre-ripping
workflow solutions. Using three parameters (reference, offset, and length),
the user must simply define once a naming convention (i.e.: which character
range in the file names stands for page numbers).
The "text file" method can be used when the file
names and number of pages are known. A simple text file must be created to list
the job's document files. When the document files are placed in the hot folder,
DynaStrip AUTOMATION reads the text file to automatically assign the pages and
output the job.
